In A Human-Centric Culture, Our Identity Is Not Connected/Associated With Results

In a human-centric culture, our identity is not connected/associated with results.

When who we are is directly related to results and outcomes, people are likely to feel insecure, unable to activate their growth mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities because they are focused on fear, shame, or guilt because a mistake, breakdown, or challenge is occurring and they are choosing to feel at fault or are explicitly made to feel this way.

What happens then is the person wraps their identity around the issue, and only focuses on their feelings and/or reputation, trying to reconcile this and feel better rather than standing in their leadership [core pillar of transformational leadership], and solving the issue.

When you take blame and the need to feel right, wrong, good or bad about yourself or other collaborators out, you’re able to be neutral, inclusive, and agile, feel empowered and clear to solve or move forward, and ultimately create a culture where everyone feels and operates the same where everyone is being a contribution and unlocking potential.

It’s not you, you’re not the problem…
